About Us
OUR STORY
It all started when decision-scientist and serial entrepreneur Ronen Efraim joined forces with Nanomedicine leader Dr. Demir Akin of Stanford's school of Medicine to accelerate developing software applications on the human body. Their work in fields such as AI, Big Data, Consumer Internet, Bioinformatics, In Silico Biology and Nanotechnology, has pointed them to the tremendous opportunity in re-purposing software modalities for biomedical advancement. Since then, a host of teams around the world, with diverse approaches have joined them and they are all working together in making the biological world a better connected place.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to provide resources in any shape and form so that developing therapies, and new modes of engagement with biological systems would be as effortless as possible. We believe there is much to learn from the software world in spurring meaningful technological innovation.
TECHNOLOGIES
The IoHB is as diverse as the biological world, and as rapidly evolving as the software world. Teams around the world are using different approaches, and meeting a wide variety of objectives, connecting biological systems to software platforms that offer better analytical data, actuation and biomedical intervention.
